Netscape 4.0 Set-Up Instructions for Online Services
Open your Netscape Communicator program
Go to the "Edit" menu and click on "Preferences"
Click once on the plus sign (+) in front of the "Mail & Groups"
option on the left side of the Preferences window so you see
several options listed below "Mail & Groups"
Click on the "Identity" option once
Type your name in the "Your Name" box (for example: Joe User)
Type your email address in the "Email Address" box (for example: joeuser@dialoregon.net)
You may leave the "Reply-to Address" box blank
You may type the name of the business or organization you are
associated with (if any) in the "Organization" box
Click on the "Mail Server" option once on the left hand side of the
Preferences window
Type your username in the "Mail Server User Name" box (for example: joeuser)
Type "mail.dialoregon.net" in the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server" box
Type "mail.dialoregon.net" in the "Incoming Mail Server" box
Under "Mail Server Type" make sure the "POP3" option is marked
If you do not want to type your password every time you check your
mail, click on the "More Options" button and make sure the "Save
Password" box is marked and click on "OK"
Click on the "Groups Server" option once on the left hand side of the
Preferences window
Type "news.dialoregon.net" in the "News (NNTP) Server" box
Click on "OK"
NOTE: If you need help using Netscape Communicator, you may go
to the "Help" menu in Netscape Communicator and click on "Help
