Click on the 'Start' button and select 'Connect To' and then
select your Online Services dial-up connection
Replace the current phone number with the new phone number
You do not need the area code unless you live in a 10-digit
dialing area in which case you should add the area code directly
in front of the phone number and not in the separate area code box
Click on the Networking tab
Click on the Settings button
Make sure the check box that says 'negotiate multi-link for
single link connecitons' is unchecked
Click 'OK'
Click 'OK' again
Windows 95/98/ME
Double click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop
If you have a 'Dial-Up Networking' icon, double click on it. If
you do not have a 'Dial-Up Networking' icon, double click on 'Control
Panel' and then double click on 'Dial-Up Networking'.
Right mouse click on your Online Services dial-up connection icon
and click on 'Properties' on the menu.

Do a right mouse click on your dialup connection, a menu should
appear, click on Properties

Click on 'Apply Now'
MacOS 9
Click on the 'Apple' menu and select 'Control Panel'
Click on 'Remote Access'
Replace the current phone number with the new phone number

Exit the Remote Access screen. When you exit the screen, your
computer will prompt you to save your changes by clicking the 'Save'
button.
