Windows 98 Set-Up Instructions for Online Services

• Double-click on the "Connect to the Internet" icon on your desktop.
  • NOTE: If you do not have this icon on your desktop, click on "Start", then "Programs", then "Internet Explorer", then "Connection Wizard".
• Choose the "I have an existing Internet account" option.
• Choose the "Select this option if using an Internet Service Provider".
• Choose "Connect using my phone line".
• If prompted, choose "Create a new dial-up connection".
• Type in your local Online Services phone number.
• Type in your Online Services user name
• Type your password in the "Password" box.
• Choose to NOT change the Advanced Settings.
• Type in "dialoregon.net" for the "Connection name".
• Choose to NOT setup an Internet Mail account.
  • NOTE: Once you are connected, you may use Internet Explorer to go to http://dialoregon.net/support and setup Microsoft Outlook Express for your email.
• Choose to NOT setup an Internet news account.
• Choose to NOT setup the Internet Directory Service.
• Click on the Finish button.

At the end of this procedure, you will end up with an Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. You may double-click that icon to open Internet Explorer, dial into your dialoregon.net account, and begin going to Internet sites.
